Chris Chandler of Yahoo Mobile Singapore recently asked me to endorse some work that he did back in the day at MindSpring. I said sure. Which got me playing around on LinkedIn. If you go there and type “Chris Chandler MindSpring” in a search you will be taken to this page. It is very interesting to note that if you are not connected to Chirs this profile does not contain his full profile and delivers the following pitch:
But the link to get to his full profile is just a bit higher in the page.
LinkedIn seems to be delivering different profile information and this upsell based on current relationship status. Nothing wrong with that I suppose but it used to up to the user to make this decision.
I do know that there is no way I would ever, ever pay $240 a year to use LinkedIn. Would you?
